1. Is All Is Well™ a name of a yoga studio?
All Is Well™ is partnership between several wellness centers whose vision and mission are to improve the overall wellbeing of each individual it serves. All Is Well™ will direct you to the wellness center that will become your new home for wellness.
2. What Is Yoga?
Yoga is a Sanskrit word meaning “to yoke” or “bind together”. When we practice yoga we integrate mind and body to be fully present in the moment. In other words, a great work out for every part of you!!
3. I’m not flexible. Can I still do Yoga?
Absolutely; increased flexibility is one of the many key benefits of yoga. Come as you are. You can work at your level to achieve long, lean muscles and flexible joints.
4. How can Yoga benefit me?
According to the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSN),the largest exercise science association in the world, four types of fitness bolster health:. Cardio respiratory Fitness, Muscular Fitness, Flexibility and Body Composition. Your Yoga incorporates all four of these fitness types.
5. Is yoga a religion?
Yoga is not a religion. It is a classical Indian science and art form which use poses, postures, and movements combined with the breath and meditation to improve our bodies and minds.
6. How often should I practice?
You will enjoy a bounty of benefits at a mere one hour a week. For adults, two classes per week is recommended.
7. I’m out of shape. Can I do Yoga?
Yes. No matter your size or condition you can practice yoga. Because we begin where you are and there’s no competition, you can feel comfortable in the class.
8. What do I need to do in preparation of my yoga class?
As with any new activity, if you have medical issues, please check with your doctor to be sure you are able to participate. Bring an open mind and a willingness to expand your horizons. Mats are a personal item. Please bring your own or purchase one from the Institute. Wear comfortable but not baggy clothes. Do not eat 2 hours prior to class. |
